Annotation:

Kurz angličtiny na úrovni B1 se zaměřuje se na výuku jazyka v kontextu životních zkušeností, využívá praktické ekonomické informace a zajímavosti z celého světa, kde se lidé dorozumívají angličtinou. Čím se liší angličtina v různých zemích světa? Jak předejít nedorozumění? Jak maximálně využít vše, co známe? To vše spojíme s procvičováním gramatiky, která zpřesňuje vyjadřování a také dokáže být překvapivě logická.

Témata mohou být modifikována podle zájmu a znalostí účastníků.

Kurz bude probíhat v učebnách vybavených technikou pro jazykovou výuku. Kurz bude zakončen kolokviem.

Výuka probíhá v rozsahu 13 týdnů. Celkem 26 vyučovacích hodin po 45 minutách.

Kurz probíhá vždy v úterý od 16 : 00 do 17 : 30 hod, MÚVS ČVUT Praha. Výuka prezenční, lektorka Suzanne Elaine Lewis.

  2.    01.10.2024    Revision of telling the time. CB Unit 5A exercise 1 and 2
  3.    08.10.2024    Unit 5A focus on use of quantifiers (e.g. some, many) plus activites from p138-139. Communicative activity 5A ‘Generally speaking’
  4.    15.10.2024     Language to express doing things slowly. Listening skills, listening for detail, based on the ‘Feeling Groovy’ song.
  5.    22.10.2024     Unit 5A continued–exercises 3 and 4 Listening skills for specific information.Reading skills exercise 4
  6.    05.11.2024     Unit 5B open discussion on stereotypes. All class communicative activity.
  7.    12.11.2024     Unit 5B grammar study – articles. Use of a/an/ the and zero page 72. Plus introduction discussion on the men vs women stereotype debate
  8.    19.11.2024     Unit 5B video on differences b.w men and women. Follow up discussion. Work on pronuncation of ‘th, CB pg 72 ex 2abc

  10.    03.12.2024     Continued practise of ‘th’ sounds. Extra practice of articles. Listening pg 74 about Spas – discussion about Spas and beauty/health treatments
  11.    10.12.2024     5B grammar – focus on prepositions. CB pg 75. Extra activites to practise.
  12.    17.12.2024     Lesson based on Christmas, singing Christmas carols from England and tasting typical English christmas food.
  13.    07.01.2025     Unit 5C, pg 76 Jobs. Discussion of different types of jobs, game to elicit what job I have. Deduction of a story based on pictures (ex 1a)
